Why does the MyED by IRIS app need permission to access my device data? 

The MyED by IRIS app needs permission to access to the following information on your Android device for you to be able to use all functionality.

• Identity — Check your contact information against the details the school have to link your account to your students
• Calendar — Add important dates added by the school to your calendar
• Phone — Make calls to the staff or absence numbers in Contacts
• Media files — View and save documents from the school
• Camera — Scan QR codes supplied by the school
• Device ID and Call Information — Display notifications for communications sent from a connected school
